PURPOSE:

This course is intended for all individuals who wish to learn the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting.

 

AREAS OF FOCUS:

• Lesson I: Rifle knowledge and safe handling

• Lesson 2: Ammo knowledge and the fundamentals of rifle shooting

• Lesson 3: Firing the first shots

• Lesson 4: Standing shooting positions

• Lesson 5: Rifle sports and activities

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

• Rifle (inquire about rifle calibers)      

• 50 rds of ammunition.                               

• Hearing and eye protection.
