LONG SHOT: the Home Field Advantage for Competitive Shooters in Northern NJ
Stationary Shooting Leagues: Nothing gets you sharp and keeps you sharp like a pistol shooting league. It gets you focused toward a goal, and gives you a deep community of fellow shooters to tap into.
Shooting in a supportive environment, you will make friends and learn by shooting with more experienced, knowledgeable and helpful shooters. Have a question about equipment or technique? The person shooting next to you probably has the answer.
If you are just starting out, and are working on your grip and alignment fundamentals, then sign up to shoot in the GSSF or the OPEN League. They each shoot at stationary targets positioned between 5 and 25 yards with semi-automatic pistols.
The GSSF is limited to Glocks, the OPEN League welcomes all semi-auto pistols, chambered in .380 ACP to .45 ACP.
Shooting with Movement Leagues: Perhaps you want to take your personal and home defense skills to the next level. Or you have progressed far enough with stationary targets and want to "move beyond the bench".
It's time to get a belt and holster and start training in practical and tactical shooting scenarios. Learning to shoot with movement will bring your pistol craft to an entirely new level. With expanded skills, you can begin to experience the fun of outdoor shooting, with a growing circle of friends.

You must be a member of the GSSF to shoot with us. You can join the nation's largest league on their website or in person at Long Shot during shooting day check-in.
Each match is comprised of 3 shooting dates. You may shoot all 3 and choose your best 2 performances, or shoot the minimum of 2.
For each gun that a competitor shoots in at least 2 dates, he will be given an entry into the FREE raffle of a NEW GLOCK PISTOL.
A shooter may compete in multiple divisions. A shooter may enter any division with multiple guns. Only the first gun used in each division counts towards official scoring. $25 Registration fee for first gun. $15 for each additional gun. Earn 1 chance to win a free gun for each gun shot at least two times.
AUGUST 6TH, 2024
The PERFECTION TOURNAMENT of CHAMPIONS
At the end of the season, we will take the division winners from each month and hold a Tournament to determine the Season's Grand Champion. The Grand Prize is a Holosun EPS Carry red dot site, of choice.
For each GSSF monthly match, the top finisher in each division, (excluding rimfire) will qualify for entry into the Perfection Tournament and may sign up.
On the day of competition, there will be two rounds of shooting. The first will be Divisional Heats, where the monthly winners of each division face off to identify the Four Divisional Champions.
The second round of shooting, is the Championship Heat, where each of the Divisional Champions face off to crown the Season's Grand Champion.
Generally, speaking the Perfection Tournament will be familiar to all participants, as it will use GSSF Targets and scoring rules. However, the courses of fire will be modified in distances and time.
